The Portes du Soleil Ski Area
Just over an hours drive from Geneva airport, Chalet Gueret
offers easy access to the massive Portes du Soleil skiing area with
650 km of piste linking 12 resorts in France and Switzerland.
The chalet minibus and driver will take guests to and from the
slopes, and we will be happy to advise you on the best places to
ski. And what a choice of there is! There are runs to suit all abilities.
The views are well worth stopping for, and you are never far from
one of the many mountain restaurants which are a feature of the
area.
The Morzine / Les Gets skiing area is the nearest just seven
minutes drive away. With 50 ski lifts it is the largest local
ski area on the circuit. There are great beginners slopes.
Intermediate and advanced skiers will enjoy the tree-lined runs
and snow bowls with magnificent views of the Mont Blanc. There are
some challenging runs and off-piste opportunities for expert skiers.

On the other side of the valley the Ardent lift takes you into
the Portes du Soleil circuit with access to the slopes above Avoriaz,
Chatel and Les Crozets. The Super-Morzine lift takes you to the
gentler runs below Avoriaz, while Les Prodains is at the bottom
of some of the most challenging skiing in the area.
Snowboarders are at home in Les Portes du Soleil and gravitate
towards Avoriaz with its 1.5 km snowpark. Morzine has French, International
and British ski schools. It is always advisable to pre-book, and
we will be happy to help.
